David Bet Shumel

David is a multifaceted educator, having earned his Bachelor’s in Anthropology, a Master’s in Public Administration, and multiple teaching credentials all from California State University, Northridge. As a licensed teacher in both Special Education and Social Studies, he brings a versatile and inclusive approach to the classroom, with a specialized focus on American and Modern World History.

Beyond his professional credentials, David’s instruction is fueled by passion for the past. An avid collector of historical books and documents, he maintains a personal archive spanning from the 19th century to the present day. This deep connection to primary sources allows him to bridge the gap between academic theory and lived history, providing his students with a rich, tangible perspective on the modern world.
